DROP OFF & PICK UP 

Morning Drop-off Procedures- School begins at 7:45

Parents should drive into the semi-circular driveway at the front of the school. When your car comes to a complete stop your children should exit the car on the right hand side only. Students then continue down the sidewalk in front of the school, through the Jane Farrell- Smith garden, and onto the playground.

In inclement weather children may follow the same procedures but enter the building to gather in the gymnasium.

Please keep cars in a single line. Absolutely no passing on the left. Children should never cross traffic. Please allow children to exit the car by themselves on the right side and proceed directly to the playground.

You may also park along the street to walk your child to the playground or gym. Parents should find parking on Furnace Brook Parkway on the same side of the road as the school. Please do not park on the opposite side of Furnace Brook Parkway. This is a no parking zone.

U-turns are NOT ALLOWED on Furnace Brook. Also, you may not turn around in the entrance or exit ways of the semi-circle. This is for the safety of all students, parents and school staff. 

Please follow all security procedures posted on the front door. Most importantly, no parent may enter the school without first checking in at the office, stating your reason for entering the school then receiving a visitor lanyard so that staff knows that you have checked in.

Afternoon Pick Up- 2:00 p.m. for 1st-5th, 1:50 p.m. for K. Wednesdays half day- 11:15 a.m. for 1st-5th, 11:00 a.m. for K

Parents should find parking on Furnace Brook Parkway on the same side of the road as the school. Please do not park on the opposite side of Furnace Brook Parkway. This is a no parking zone. Parents may then exit their cars and stand in front of the school to await their children.

Please do not drive in the semi-circular driveway or the small lot on the side of the school, as we need this space for our buses and vans. This is a huge safety issue and we must insist that no cars drive into the driveway at dismissal. The school principal will be standing in the driveway entrance to prevent cars from driving into the dismissal procedures.

Parking must be limited to our side of Furnace Brook Parkway and the posted signage in the neighborhood. Please respect and obey all traffic signage and speed limits when parking or traveling through the neighborhood.
